With their short film named “Jubilación” (Retirement), the second-year students of the CFGS Media and performance direction course, Gianni Delgado and Guillem Saéz, won the award for the best 30” short film at the Notodofilmfest, one of the most demanding awards in the competition due to its limitations in terms of time and narrative.
The award ceremony was held on 15th January at Cine Callao in Madrid, the usual setting for the festival's main events and a meeting point for the emerging audiovisual sector.
The award-winning short film stood out for its narrative synthesis, precise use of audiovisual language and efficient staging, classic values of good filmmaking that are often diluted in longer formats.
The Notodofilmfest, with a long history of promoting young talent, has established itself as a leading platform for creators who understand cinema as a discipline, method and craft, beyond a passing fad. This recognition represents a significant step in the two students' professional development and confirms the validity of proper audiovisual training, based on mastery of the fundamentals of storytelling and image.
