A very inspiring scientific visit

Today, in Class 5B, we welcomed a very special visitor: Dr. Mara Dierssen Sotos. She is a renowned Spanish neurobiologist, researcher, university professor and scientific communicator, considered one of the leading experts worldwide in the study of Down syndrome.

During her visit, she explained what her work as a scientist involves and how she carries out research to better understand how the brain works. She also told us about her research into Down syndrome and the importance of science in improving people's quality of life. On top of that, she shared some personal experiences and encouraged us to be curious, to ask questions and to take an interest in the world around us.

It was a very enriching and inspiring experience for everyone, as it allowed us to learn first-hand about the work of a highly prestigious scientist and to better understand the importance of research.
