In MOPI 3, within the Expressem node, we engaged in an artistic and sensory experience based on the work of Joan Miró.
Inspired by his free and expressive way of understanding painting, the children were invited to participate in a foot painting activity. This experience allowed them to explore colour, line and movement with their whole body, transforming the act of painting into an experiential, spontaneous and deeply expressive act.
Painting with the feet fosters a direct relationship with the material and the support, encourages you to get your hands (or feet) dirty, and enhances a more instinctive artistic expression, in line with the spirit of Miró. The children experienced how the body can become a tool for creation.
This activity not only stimulates creativity, but also reinforces body awareness, coordination, and confidence in one's own expressive capabilities.
