Exchange with Joseph Schwarz Schule

A group of 3rd year lower secondary students, accompanied by two teachers, have been able to enjoy a one week exchange experience with the Joseph Schwarz Schule, from Erlenbach, Germany.

We like to hear from the students themselves, do you want to know what they have to say?

BEFORE LEAVING:

My goals: to learn German and improve my English, discover a new culture, make new friends, be happy, and see a domesticated rabbit for the first time. Elisa

I hope to make friends, learn more German, gain insight into a new culture, make more friends with my classmates. Catalina

My goals: to meet new people to connect and live with. This is a very important goal for me. Visiting cities I have never been to before… Learning about German culture, improving languages (German and English). Vicky

For me, learning German and learning about the German culture is essential. I also want to see and try new things, and I want to meet new people; I want to take advantage of all the opportunities that this experience offers me. Camila

I'm very happy, and I'm looking forward to arriving and meeting the family in person. I hope it will be cold… Santi

ON RETURNING:

I'm very sad to say goodbye to the school and the partners. We have built up a very good relationship. Clara

It was a great week… I am happy about everything we’ve done. Elisa

I've loved the experience, and I'm really looking forward to the Germans coming to Barcelona. Catalina

The time has come to say goodbye, the only thing that has cheered me up is that I will see them soon, in April. Vicky

It was hard, but I had to say goodbye to the family that had welcomed me so well and treated me so well, and to the JSS school, which made me feel at ease from the very start. Enrique

I would do this exchange again, but for more days... The food at the school is great, and everyone was very friendly. I even made some friends at the school. Santi

To sum up… Vicky's sentence:

I fully recommend this experience, as it has helped me in a thousand ways, both linguistically and personally, getting to know new people, learning a new culture… Without a doubt, I would do it again a thousand times!

We are looking forward to welcoming the German students, who will be coming in April!
