Mathematics at MOPI

At the Early Childhood Pedagogical Model (MOPI), we see mathematics as an experience to be lived, touched, and discovered.

That is why we place great importance on hands-on learning, where children experiment with various real-world materials: they count, classify, build, compare, and solve small challenges. Mathematics isn’t just explained; it is done.

Through an experiential and motivating approach, we build upon play, everyday situations, and children’s natural curiosity. This way, mathematical concepts take on real meaning, connect to reality, and are developed progressively and meaningfully.

In doing so, we nurture logical thinking, autonomy, confidence, and a love for learning – laying a solid foundation so that children grow up enjoying mathematics from their very first years.
