School fruit and vegetable programme
In order to encourage and foster healthy habits through the practice and experience of our 1st and 2nd Primary School pupils, we have been inspired to take part in the initiative that the Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda of the Government of Catalonia and the European Union are offering to schools on the consumption of fruit and vegetables.
WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE?
Starting in March and for 4 or 5 days a month, we will distribute fresh fruit to each early primary pupil during breakfast time.
The fruit for the programme will be distributed through the Fruit Business Association of Catalonia (AFRUCAT), who will be assigned to inform us of the week in which we will receive the fruit.
The school will inform the pupils about the campaign and will run activities to complement the consumption of fruit and vegetables with a view to reflecting on the benefits of consuming fruit and vegetables and on their diversity, characteristics, production and handling…
