During this term, 2nd-year baccalaureate students have had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the real working world through visits to various companies and institutions. These experiences allow them to explore different professional fields, awaken new vocations, and – above all – begin to shape their future with greater clarity and confidence.
We would like to highlight and sincerely thank all the organizations and professionals who made this initiative possible by generously sharing their time and expertise with us.
Hospital Clínic
A university hospital founded in 1906 and integrated into Catalonia’s Public Utility Hospitals Network. This network covers virtually all medical and surgical specialities and combines healthcare delivery with research and teaching, either directly or through affiliated entities.
We would also like to extend a special thank-you to Dr. Manuel Castellà, Head of the Cardiovascular Surgery Service at the Cardiovascular Institute and a former Sant Ignasi alumnus. Once again this year, he has shown his commitment and generosity by facilitating our visit and giving us an authentic glimpse into his professional field.
Accenture
Since Accenture was established in Spain in 1965, it has contributed to the development and progress of the economy and society, supporting major Spanish companies and the Public Administration in their modernization and technological and digital transformation.

During the recent educational outing, students took part in a series of highly enriching workshops and activities thanks to the dedication of Alex Borrell and Mirenchu Echeverri. Their help, availability, and collaboration ensured the entire program ran smoothly and successfully, making the experience extremely positive for everyone involved.
Testimonial from a 2nd-year technology upper secondary student:
I had the opportunity to visit Accenture during the modality outing, and it was one of the most enriching experiences of my entire school career. Until then, I knew very little about the world of consulting. Thanks to the visit, I gained a clear understanding of what it really involves – and I even took part in a workshop where, for a few minutes, we stepped into the role of consultants.
Accenture showed us the enormous diversity of international markets it operates in and the huge variety of projects it develops: from technological innovation and marketing campaigns to sustainability strategies and social initiatives. Its impact spans countless different areas. I was also able to see firsthand how important teamwork, analytical thinking, and adaptability are in this sector.
It was a truly eye-opening experience for me and, without a doubt, a possible career path I will seriously consider from now on.
City of Justice
The City of Justice is one of the most ambitious projects of the Judicial Infrastructure Plan promoted by the Department of Justice. It represents a major step toward a more modern, accessible, and citizen-friendly justice system. This complex houses all the judicial bodies of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat and a large part of those in Barcelona.
Testimonial from a 2nd-year upper secondary student:
During the outing we learned how the trial system actually works, as well as the roles of judges, prosecutors, and all the other professionals involved in a judicial process. We were struck by the complexity of every case, the importance of solid argumentation, and the rigorous standards required to reach fair decisions.
One of the most interesting moments was attending real trials in progress. It let us see live how proceedings unfold – from the interventions of each party to the way the judge directs the session. It was a very powerful experience that helped us truly understand the responsibility and significance of the decisions being made.
In addition, the visit made us reflect on the importance of justice, people’s rights, and how the rule of law functions. Without a doubt, it has been an incredibly educational activity that has sparked our interest in this professional field.
We loved the experience and would be delighted to repeat it in the future – we believe it is an extremely valuable way to learn outside the classroom.
Lactalis Nestlé
A company 60 % owned by the Lactalis Group and 40 % by Nestlé, dedicated to the production and distribution of dairy products. Over the last decade, the Lactalis Group has experienced strong growth in Spain through the acquisition of leading brands, establishing itself as an international benchmark with names such as Président Professionnel, Flor de Esgueva, Galbani, El Ventero, Puleva, and Gran Capitán, among others.
Magma Design
Magma Design is a multidisciplinary design studio with a large team of experts working across a wide range of international sectors, primarily railway, healthcare, household appliances and electronics, and contract and office furniture.
Magma has designed the renovation of the FGC (Catalan Government Railways) 213 series trains.
In addition to discovering the Palo Alto creative space – where different studios and innovation hubs coexist – we had the chance to visit the Magma Design studio. There, the team explained firsthand their industrial design, packaging, and engineering projects. We also visited the Mariscal workshop, where we saw the iconic Cobi figures and other artistic pieces.
