After listening to the ideas of their PIN and NEI classmates, the student representatives on the Children's Council for these years at the school identified the need for a quiet space in the playgrounds where children can chill out and spend some time reading.
So they have set up outdoor libraries in the red and plane tree playgrounds and the little garden.
To turn this project into a sustainable solution, families were asked to bring books, stories or comics for children aged 3 to 12 in any language and in good condition which they no longer use at home and would be helpful in improving these reading areas.
Once the books had been collected, they were sorted and the libraries arranged so that all the children could make the most of them.
Many thanks to all the families who have brought books and stories; without you this project would not have been possible.
The outdoor libraries have been opened!
