With autumn comes the Castanyada festival. Just like every year, the children from Nursery and Primary School enjoyed this traditional celebration.
With the objectives of learning the popular traditions, celebrating them all together, raising awareness around people in different situations to us, and sharing the songs and dances worked on at school, all grades of Nursery and Primary Education enjoyed a wide variety of activities: We made panellets, listened to stories, did activities and played games related to autumn, made paper cones and ate chestnuts, and received a visit from Marieta Castanyera.

This year, in Nursery, we welcomed 3rd-year ESO students who joined us to complete their community service activity. This activity, linked to the tutoring project called DEPÉN DE TU (IT DEPENDS ON YOU), consists of carrying out different activities with the children in Early Childhood Education, collaborating with the teachers. Some activities are more fun than others, but all of them have a clear service component that is essential to our education. This time around, as part of the Castanyada celebrations, they helped the little ones make panellets, establishing a very special bond with them.
The Nursery students also participated in experimental workshops related to autumn to celebrate the Castanyada.
