This year at the NEI stage we have done three exchanges with the schools @istitutoleonexiii in Milan, @collegebcdf in Paris and @collegiopiox in Treviso under the #ErasmusPlus programme run by @sepia_gob. These international projects have allowed dozens of students and teachers to have a unique experience in learning, sharing and cultural enrichment. The students have been able to attend classes in other educational systems, live with local host families and take part in cultural, sports and cooperative activities.
Besides learning and honing language skills, these experiences have fostered self-reliance and discovering other cultures while also enhancing values including tolerance and respect. They have additionally been instrumental in shaping young people who are more outward-looking, savvy and aware of their role as global citizens. Travelling broadens the mind, fosters curiosity and helps young people to better understand the world in which they live.
