We are very excited to share that our Higher Vocational Training student in Kitchen Management, Joan Taltavull Juaneda, achieved 3rd place in the European Young Chef Award (EYCA) 2025. He did so with his dish 'Arròs de la Terra', a project that highlights the native Xeixa wheat and traditional cuisine—reinvented with respect for the product and with a focus on sustainability.

This weekend, the competition was held at EUHT Sant Pol (Sant Pol de Mar) and brought together young talents from all over Europe, under the theme 'Innovation in Tradition'.
The panel of judges, made up of prominent figures from the world of gastronomy, particularly valued creativity, respect for local produce, and the ability to transform traditional recipes with a modern and sustainable twist.
We want to congratulate Joan on this well-deserved success and recognise all the effort and dedication he has put into his learning. It is a great source of pride for our school to see a student become a leader in young European cuisine.
