The day was an important meeting and forum for discussion among patients, professionals from different disciplines, and students interested in the support of and approach to Mental Health in the current landscape.

The event, presided over by Ms. Marta Anguera, Head of Nursing at the Mental Health Institute at Hospital del Mar, and Mr. Victor Pérez, Medical Director of Hospital del Mar, was attended by nearly 150 people and was structured into four roundtables: What do we talk about when we talk about health?; Community health and health care; How to promote health in vulnerable neighbourhoods; and From theory to community projects.

As part of this event, 2nd-year Social Integration students presented explanatory academic posters about mental health. They all participated in a competition where professionals from Hospital del Mar voted for the three posters with the best display of knowledge and research. The students declared the winners of this competition will participate as trainers in several sessions organised at the Centre Fòrum with people in the process of psychosocial rehabilitation.

The objectives of the conference are to transmit values of solidarity, hope and the will to continue fostering participative projects connected to social actions to improve our care and dedication to our patients as professionals from a humanist perspective. It also emphasises the importance of professional training that is closely connected to the active professional world.
