RAMUNI PROJECT: A virtual exchange with India

Within the framework of Global Citizenship that our school aims to promote and develop, on Monday 22nd September we launched the RAMUNI PROJECT that the 2nd year ESO Advanced students are working on with the BSS Gurukulam Higher Secondary School (Alathur, Kerala, India). For several years now, 2nd year ESO students have been participating in a virtual linguistic-cultural exchange with this school in India. The language of the project is English.

The Ramuni Foundation provided the logistical support to carry out this exchange, which consisted of several phases: The first virtual contact (with presentation videos made by students from both schools); Preparation and sharing of digital materials to explain who we are and what we are like; The reading of two short stories (one Catalan and one Gurukulam), and finally, the various virtual meetings between groups of students where we interacted by asking each other questions about the materials they worked on, the short stories, and the students' wellbeing.

At the inauguration ceremony of the project for the 2025-26 academic year, we invited Albert Pélach from the Ramuni Foundation, and Pablo Gutiérrez, a former student, who carried out volunteering fieldwork at the Gurukulam school. We believe this was a great way to start the project, and to make it understandable and motivating for our students.

Wishing a good school year, and a fruitful project to all!
